How to contour your nose
Contouring is a major beauty trend and has been for quite some time. It’s a great technique to sculpt your face and make it look slimmer. It’s a technique that takes some time to master, but once you’ve got it you’ll be obsessed! Contouring isn’t just for your cheekbones, though. Contouring your nose is essential too!
Contouring your nose can help you fake your perfect nose shape in no time. Whether you want to make your nose look thinner, longer, shorter, or even straighter, there is a technique to help you get there. Here is how to contour your nose no matter what shape you want!
How to Make Your Nose Look Thinner
Start off by drawing two lines down the sides of your nose with the contour product of your choosing. The lines should begin at the brow bone and go all the way to the end of your nose. Just make sure to keep the lines light at first!
Then, you want to highlight the bridge of your nose. To do this, choose a highlighter that is 1 or 2 shades lighter than your natural skin tone. Then, lightly apply the highlighter in a thin line from the top of your nose all the way down to the ball of your nose.
To finish off the look, you’ll want to blend any harsh lines until you’re left with subtle shadows. Contouring looks best when it looks natural and harsh lines will look too intense!
How to Make Your Nose Look Longer
Start off by contouring at the brow bone. In order to make your nose look longer, you want to begin shading your contour lines at the curve of your brow bone and then work all the way down to the tip of your nose.
Then, to make your nose look even longer, you will want to make the line of highlighter longer too. To do this, you will apply highlighter all the way down the bridge of your nose right to the tip. You should also extend the highlighter up between your brows until it is parallel with the highest point of your brows.
How to Make Your Nose Look Shorter
To make your nose appear shorter, you will want to start by darkening the tip of your nose with your contour shade.
You will then want to apply highlighter to the bridge of your nose and stop about halfway down to give the illusion of a shorter nose.
How to Make Your Nose Look Straighter
To make your nose look straighter, you will draw two straight lines down the sides of your nose with your contour shade. You will then want to connect these lines at the bottom on an angle between your nostrils. Think of it as a downwards pointing arrow.
You then want to buff away any harsh lines with a fluffy brush.
To finish off the look, you will want to highlight the high points of your nose. To do this, use a highlighter to draw a very fine line between the center of your eyebrows and down the bridge of your nose. Make sure to do a good job blending too!
